summer is so... summer

How much do I L-O-V-E Bill Cunningham's weekly On The Street? A ton, a gazillion, a basket full of kisses worth.

And this week it is all about black: "there are wonderful things to be seen." 

My god, yesterday I'm getting ready for James' birthday party and I'm thinking:
I'm so sick of these colorful summer dresses. Ugh. So happy and light. L-i-t-e, light.

Despite my disdain at all that color hanging in the closet, I still ended up wearing a print. A cute, pin-up girl type of dress by Marc Jacobs. Blue with white dots and a couple of bows. I paired it with those really high red Miu Miu's I've had for years, up-swept hair, bright eyes, and red lips.

Viola. No black, but super excellent nonetheless.

Birthday Boy party worthy. Give the Birthday Boy a big kiss worthy. He like it, he liked it.

Tonight, it's back to black.

For sure.

I bought a simple and therefore sexy black James Perse dress in New York which will perfect for...for whatever I end up doing.

Bill says, "They're not going to parties!"
