Saturday afternoon in the wine country on a beautiful, summer-is-almost-over day means a western themed harvest party in a bucolic vineyard setting.

Drinking sparkling wine starts at noon, moving on to red by two. Cocktails start at four, followed by a much needed nap at seven. But then one must rally for dinner and drinks at 10. Et cetra.

It's a lifestyle, I suppose.

I totally didn't get the theme memo tho, so I wore the wrong outfit.  But sometimes wearing the wrong outfit is right thing to do in that, oh my, don't I stand-out kind of way.

My shoes are effed; full of vineyard dust.

It's the price one pays. For a gorgeous, delicious day.
