one signpost

On Monday I was in line for a Southwest flight (got number A20--not bad) when this tacky lady with a bad boob job in the A36-55 line shouts out to me:
"Hey. Did you get those shoes at Bebe yesterday?"
I turn to look at her. Yesterday? Bebe? I curtly answered, "No."
Twenty people in line are looking at my feet.
"Oh. Well. I saw them there yesterday and I almost bought them. They're totally cute."
Thank god it was my turn to board.

Groaning. I'm groaning.

The great silver wedges I got in NYC for $10 which I thought looked like some kind of Gucci knock-off are actually a Bebe knock-off.

How humiliating.

And they are so comfortable too, for being so tall. And go with practically everything.

Such a shame. A sham and a shame. Sad, sad shame.

Oh, oh. This is excellent. I just looked up the sandal on Bebe's website. They're called Valerie.

And they are not actually the same shoe. No crossover toe on mine or stripe around the bottom. Different ankle strap too. Okay, similar, but really. That lady was nuts.

have you ever noticed--when in the proper Southwest group--that the guy standing next to you has promoted himself up a couple of groups? I've noticed that.
