don't mingle self-pity and sarcasm

I made art yesterday.

And this is saying something because my muse-y-ness flew away, away goodbye sometime in mid-June. Didn't look back, just left me here fiddling with my hands. And then, Oh, hello.

The little creation is alright. Ugly beautiful.

The process was kind of like having sex for the first time after an unwanted break (not that I know anything about that whatsoever)--all about the heat and too fast and sloppy, but felt really, really good.

And there it is.

I'm mailing it off today.
