all my lies are secret wishes

Cute. Perfect for fall and a nice match for all those cute, peppy striped sweaters I like to wear. Ha. And my birthday is only like--what the eff is the date today anyway?--only like two months away.

I forced myself to watch the Sarah Palin speech (cringing all the way) and my god that woman sucks butt. Could she be more condescending? Since when is sarcasm a political virtue?

And the crowd--ugh. Democrats are way better looking.

"We had been waiting for a long time to hear from Palin, who went to the mattresses almost immediately after she was introduced to the nation by John McCain last week. What followed was a long line of unexpected revelations, from the fabled teenage pregnancy to my own personal favorite: the threat to fire the town librarian who refused to censor books."

mccain sold his soul to the fundamentalist right. this is a blatent political ploy that is embarrassingly cynical. but I'm consoled with the fact that--according to many of the delegates in the hall--they will now feel safer in America with her as V.P.
